Modulus Media Systems

Modulus Media Systems has redefined the all-in-one media system that will revolutionize the Home Entertainment industry. The new Modulus M2 combines a DVR, Blu-Ray player, networked movie server, streaming video and music, and personal media organizer into a unified, easy-to-use product line. The user will have access to all their stored and streamed media that is accessible from almost anywhere there’s an internet connection.

Modulus again approached Clandestine to develop the new M2 from the ground up. We worked on the industrial design, engineering and prototyping, as well as provided production sourcing and tooling support. The M2 is a huge step up in terms of feature set from the M1 and the client wanted to present an even more premium feel to its customers. We incorporated a magnetically-attached, tempered glass face plate which allows customers to access the now user-replaceable hard drives. The design detail of a seemingly random dot pattern allowed our engineers to leverage it as venting for heat dissipation. Finally, the entire device is easily assembled and disassembled for better maintenance, repair and upgrade.
